Although it’s nothing more than a camping and picnic site, I thought the area itself was beautiful. After a short and easy hike you can essentially stand over the waterfall due to all the rocks and tree roots. Thankfully I didn’t slip and take a ride down the falls, cause that probably would have hurt pretty bad. Very good place for a pit stop, especially if you’re making the journey out to Crater Lake National Park.
Another place worth noting in the area is Diamond Lake, where I stopped for lunch. It was a gorgeous area, and the lodge makes a mean reuben sandwich. It looked like a very popular camping/lodging destination, and it was crowded with a ton of families. If you’re planning a trip in the area, I would definitely recommend this as your campground of choice. I would love to go back for an extended stay at some point, the place was simply amazing.
