Little Si – North Bend, WA

Little Si is the hike I typically use as a starter for the season, since it’s a moderate grade, not too rough, and makes me realize I’ve eaten far too much Taco Bell in the offseason. It’s not nearly as interesting (or hard) as Big Si, and the views are fairly lackluster in comparison, but it’s still a decent hike if you don’t want to go out and kill yourself. Plus it always gives me an excuse to head to North Bend to get a little exercise, which I quickly turn around and reward myself with some beer and friend pickles at North Bend Bar & Grill.

The forest is pretty dense the entire hike, and there aren’t many good viewpoints, but again, it’s a good warmup for hiking season to at least wake your legs up!
